Hold on Tight to Your Dreams. I did.

Hey! Hold on tight to your dreams. I did. Since I'm here, I may as well advertise myself. Some of my art can be found in the following locations: The Smithfield Bakery and Gourmet Rest. (Main Street) Smithfield Cultural Arts Center (Main Street) Dr. Andy Harris's Chiropractic (Church Street) All of the above are in my town: Smithfield, VA USA Also I have 7 works displayed at Dr. Robert Baer's Dermitology Office in Norfolk,VA. My subjects range from the whimsical "Frolicking Fish" a smiling, brightly colored fish, to the realistic "Going Coastal" which features a scene with a lighthouse and sailboat. I paint with acrylics. Once in a blue moon I paint with oils, as my Dad, a talented fine artist, always used. I started out with watercolors, including watercolor pencils. However, acrylics & mixed media allow me to achieve the deep textures which I love. Acrylics dry very fast. So this allows me to paint layers upon layers. I enjoy using glitter, sequins, glass paint and even "spackle" for whimsical, textured images.) I am a prolific painter. However, I still have MUCH to learn & consider myself an amateur always. Taking art classes with Valeria Wilson as instructor is helpful in many ways. Thought for the Day: Hold on Tight* To Your Dreams *(for the grammarians: Tightly) aew
